PeppeR&D (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the storefront at peppernd.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — with specific terms for SMS messaging below. By placing an order or opting in to messages, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Identity & contact — name, organization, email, and phone number you provide at checkout or in your account settings.
- Order & transaction — items, quantities, shipping address, and payment confirmation. Card data is handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and never stored on our servers.
- Consent records — your SMS opt-in selection, captured at checkout and stored with the corresponding order.
- Usage — basic device and browsing data used to keep the site secure and functional.
How we use information
- Process, fulfill, and deliver your orders.
- Send order-status updates (paid, shipped, delivered) by email and, when you opt in, by SMS.
- Respond to support inquiries and comply with legal obligations.
SMS messaging & consent
SMS messages are sent through our provider, Twilio. Messaging is opt-in only — we will only send SMS for order-status updates (paid, shipped, delivered) when you have explicitly checked the opt-in box at checkout or enabled it in your account settings.
- Message types — order-status updates only (paid, shipped, delivered). Transactional messages may be sent without opt-in where necessary to fulfill your order.
- Frequency — message frequency varies and is tied solely to your order status.
- Consent — by checking the opt-in box, you consent to receive SMS at the number provided. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Opt out — reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Opting out does not prevent transactional messages required to fulfill your order.
- Carrier fees — standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
- Sharing — your phone number and message content are shared with Twilio solely to deliver SMS, and are not sold or shared with any other party.
Information sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the storefront: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), and shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL) for delivery. We never sell your personal information. Disclosure may occur where required by law.
Data retention
Order records and their associated consent data are retained for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal or accounting requirements. SMS opt-in consent is retained as part of the order it was captured with.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
- Access & correct — review and update your contact details in Account settings.
- Withdraw SMS consent — reply STOP, disable the toggle in Account settings, or contact us.
- Delete — request account deletion from the Account page; your order may be retained for legal compliance.
Children's privacy
Our products and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
